Team Germany

Inge and Juergen Lindner

Inge and Juergen Lindner live with their three cats in Nuremberg, Germany.

They had been involved with a local animal rescue organisiton for many years, when they found out about the DATCHA project in Moldova.

Since then, they have become a major organiser and financial supporter for the DATCHA and travel between Germay and Chisinau regularly to help the DATCHA Team on location.

Erika Riess

Hello, I am Erika Riess, I live with my husband, 2 children, 2 dogs and 2 cats in Nuremberg, Germany.

I have been involved with animal rescue organizsations for many years before I became part of the DATCHA team.

I manage the German website for the DATCHA (www.casaviate.de) and organize several fundraisers a year for the DATCHA. Usually we go on local street festivals and fleamarkets and sell items that have been donated to us.

The proceeds go directy to the DATCHA, mainly for food and medication.

Sibylle Weber

I am Sibylle Weber, I also live in Nuremberg.

I have been an animal rights activist since 1986, in the beginning I was politically involved, in the recent years I have been engaged in more practical grass roots work.

Since my day job is in finances, it made most sense for me to manage the hardly earned funds for the DATCHA.

Being an animal rights acitvist is not a nice hobby - it often makes me reach my own limits.

My Motto is: "Where Injustice becomes the Law, Civil Disorder becomes a Duty."

Susanne Meisel

Hello, my name is Susanne Meisel, I am 59 years old and have two children, 23 and 21 years old.

My girlfriend Erika Riess introduced my to Animal Rescue in 2011, and since then I am always helping when the donated items need to be getting sold for the DATCHA.

When the work at the our Fleamarket booth is done, I am busy creating flyers, designing signs for the next fleamarket or helping with the website.

I am also active with other volunteer work in the Sport field, I have a mother-child-workshop, a children sport group and do administrative work for a Judo-sportsgroup.

Since I am still working full-time, I am currently only able to have hamsters and guinea pigs at my house.

Erna Riedel

Hello, my name is Erna Riedel

Jutta Mateis

Hello, I am Jutta Mateis...

Caroline Brandes

Hello, I am Caroline. I am German and met some of the German Team members in Nuremberg.

I have been living in the USA for many years and noticed that hardly anyone here seems to know about the animal torture in Eastern Europe and the problems with stray dogs.

So I decided to offer my help by building this website. We are hoping to create awareness and find sponsors who are willing to support us!

Thank you!
